Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Dr. Leila Ghannam, along with Aziz Abdul Jawad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Insurance Company, Bashar Hussein, the General Manager of National Insurance Company, and a delegation from the company, presented electric wheelchairs and supporting medical tools to dozens of people with special needs from all governorates. This contribution aims to assist them in moving and navigating to meet their needs, as a social contribution from the company.
Dr. Ghannam emphasized that these wheelchairs are part of the ongoing cycle of giving carried out by the governorate to support people with disabilities and bring smiles to their faces. She affirmed the role of the Palestinian private sector and its social contributions as the right arm of our official institutions.
She thanked National Insurance Company for this contribution, praising its societal role and purposeful programs to alleviate the burdens on our citizens. She also highlighted the recent launch of the vehicle insurance service against damages resulting from settler attacks and occupation forces, without waiving the legal, criminal, and financial responsibility of the occupation for these incidents.
Abdul Jawad stressed the importance of cooperation and integration with the governorate to reach the less fortunate segments of society, emphasizing that disability does not negate potential. Investing in their capabilities is a motivation for contributions on all levels.
He added that the company allocates a percentage of its profits to support the people within our community through social responsibility programs. These wheelchairs are part of the company's responsibility towards the Palestinian community, and the company's management is pleased with this donation, cooperation, and the special relationship with the governorate over the years.
